[Hiring] Associate Director, US Patient Advocacy @argenx

Role Description

Join us as we transform immunology and deliver medicines that help autoimmune patients get their lives back. argenx is preparing for multi-dimensional expansion to reach more patients through a rich pipeline of differentiated assets, led by VYVGART, our first-in-class neonatal Fc receptor blocker approved for the treatment of gMG, and with the potential to treat patients across dozens of severe autoimmune diseases.

As a member of the US Patient Advocacy Team, you will play a key role within the broader argenx ecosystem in integrating the patient voice early and often into everything we do to better serve patients and their communities.

This person will be responsible for acting as the primary point of contact for our external Patient Advocacy Organization (PAO) partners as well as our internal argenx teams to ensure we show up consistently as their partner of choice.

To be successful, this person will need to:

• Set and maintain an indication-level Advocacy strategy.
• Communicate the strategy to internal/external partners.
• Bring the patient voice into development milestones (e.g., end point selection, etc.).
• Partner with our cross-functional teams to show up for our patient communities for in-market indications during the moments that matter.

This is a remote-based position. To help meet the needs of the patient communities we serve, you will spend meaningful time in the geographies you cover, building relationships with PAOs and attending prioritized patient events either live or virtually as appropriate. At times, these events may take place outside of standard business hours; a flexible schedule will be developed to accommodate evening and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 10 years industry or related experience.
• Proven capability and success implementing innovative programs within rare disease and with minority and underserved patient communities.
• Proven track record setting and maintaining adherence to an Advocacy strategy for a given indication or Therapeutic Area.
• Veeva experience and proficiency required.
• Experience with rare disease patient interactions and compliance required.
• Willing to travel up to 50% of the time and attend events outside of business hours (e.g., weekends and evenings).

Requirements

• Passion for understanding and championing the needs of people living with rare diseases, their caregivers, and their community, resulting in elevated Patient Experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to listen actively, express ideas fluently and succinctly both in person and in writing, and present effectively.
• Desire to integrate the patient voice into the end-to-end product lifecycle at argenx and the knowledge to know when, where, and how to do so.
