Purpose: The Associated Director/Senior Manager, Global Master Data Management Engineering/OPS owns the building and configurations of the MDM platforms, workflows, data models, and the agents. Delivers integration and distribution to downstream systems that provide the strategic framework to support the global orthopedics organization. In addition, this role will have oversight and accountability in keeping all MDM platforms available, secure, and performing.

You will be responsible for:

  • Owner of the Global Master Data Management platform data landscape.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the associates within the Global Master Data Management Engineering/Ops organization.
  • Ensure that all team members have the necessary technical and business skills to successfully meet their business objectives.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with partners, developing their MDM knowledge and understanding of Global Master Data Management processes and capabilities.
  • Establish/Maintain metrics to help drive process improvements around the respected MDM domains and respective environments/platforms.
  • Make independent decisions and present process/policy recommendations to DePuy Synthes Information Technologies Leadership.
  • Partner with internal teams to understand requirements definition and gathering for any programs interfacing with the respected Enterprise Data Warehouses, Enterprise Data Lake, and business solution environments.
  • Responsible for developing and leading systems improvement initiatives across Master Data Management systems.
  • Maintain high levels of engagement with all Executive Leaders, Directors, and Managers.
  • Lead support of functions with respect to use and understanding of tools to access data in Master Data Management applications.
  • Responsible for communicating related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Strategic Impact: This role will directly contribute to:

  • Scaling the DePuy Synthes Master Data Management ecosystem into a Global β€œbest in class” medallion architecture.
  • Ensure a high-quality data environment that relies on data as an asset to the orthopedic organization.
  • Enabling data-driven community insights that inform broader organizational strategies.

Key Stakeholders:

  • Internal: Information Technology teams, Supply Chain Teams, R&D Teams, Business Unit Commercial Leaders teams, Corporate System Teams, Professional Education/Change Management teams, Medical Affairs, Regional & OUS Commercial Teams, Regulatory, Compliance, & Legal.
  • External: Hyperscale’s, 3rd Party Data Providers, Data Consulting agencies, Enterprise Application organizations.

Qualifications

  • BS, BA degree (Business/IT related preferred), MBA or MS.
  • Minimum - 8+ years work experience required, preferable in related field.
  • Prior people management experience required.
  • Experience with MDM platform technologies (SAP MDG / Reltio) – Implementation and Support.
  • Creating an Enterprise or Business specific Master Data Management Strategy.
  • Consistent track record of leading or mentoring teams to achieve significant quality and process improvements.
  • Experience developing training materials and instructing others at all levels required.
  • Strong Project/Account management and Testing Strategy skills.
  • Experience with Master Data Management, Supply Chain, R&D, Corporate, and Commercial Systems.
  • Strong business acumen and technical skills required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required.
  • Strong social and interpersonal skills required.
  • Results oriented, problem-solving/resolution skills required.
  • Good Critical Thinking skills required.
  • Partnership and Collaboration - Ability to work in a matrix reporting structure.
  • Ability to harmonize with senior levels of management and exercise independent discernment with regard to business decisions required.

Requirements

  • Experience working as Analyst preferred.
  • Experience with call center support structure/process preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement tools, e.g., SFE, LEAN/Six Sigma, preferred.
  • Proficiency (minimal to no training needed) in query & report writing tools.
  • Proficiency (minimal to no training needed) with Incentive Compensation Systems.
  • Proficiency (minimal to no training needed) in PC software (such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Windows) required.

  • Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year.
  • Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in Colorado – 48 hours; for employees who reside in Washington – 56 hours.
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – 13 days per calendar year.

  • Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child.
  • Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member; 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year.

  • Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year.
