Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on LAI implementation, access, reimbursement education, and stakeholder readiness for PrEP Institutions across the East region.
  • Engage with key external stakeholders, including Pharmacy Directors and other decision-makers at PrEP Institutions, to anticipate and respond to questions about Gilead LAIs and educate on compliant implementation considerations consistent with the product label.
  • Develop, refine, and execute complex implementation concepts, approaches, and standards that improve patient access to prescribed Gilead LAI PrEP medications through effective implementation, access, and reimbursement education.
  • Act as the prime external-facing contact for significant LAI implementation matters, coordinating responses and resources across various internal partners.
  • Serve as the quarterback for questions from PrEP Institutions related to acquisition of LAI PrEP, workflow development, implementation logistics, and access/reimbursement education needs.
  • Develop solutions to a wide range of complex stakeholder, workflow, access, and reimbursement challenges using ingenuity and innovation while ensuring solutions are consistent with organizational objectives and compliant business practices.
  • Exercise considerable latitude in determining field priorities, stakeholder engagement approaches, issue-escalation pathways, and cross-functional coordination needed to support regional access goals.
  • Stay informed about evolving healthcare policies, payer and market trends, reimbursement pathways, specialty pharmacy dynamics, buy-and-bill models, and other developments that may create challenges or opportunities in the LAI access landscape.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in patient access, reimbursement processes, stakeholder education, and LAI implementation workflows; translate insights into recommendations for broader process improvement.
  • Assist with and contribute to regular reports and updates for senior leadership on the quality, effectiveness, and strategic implications of implementation support initiatives.
  • Represent Gilead externally with professionalism, sound judgment, and cultural sensitivity, adapting education and support to varying account environments and practices without being overly prescriptive.
  • Exhibit Gilead’s core values: integrity, teamwork, accountability, excellence, and inclusion, in accordance with the highest ethical and compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of related experience OR Master's Degree / MBA and 8+ years of related experience.

Requirements

  • BA/BS/RN with 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical field reimbursement, patient access, market access, implementation, account engagement, or a related commercial access function.
  • MA/MS/MBA/PharmD with 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical field reimbursement, patient access, market access, implementation, account engagement, or a related commercial access function.
  • Demonstrated expertise in LAI implementation, provider workflow development, access and reimbursement education, specialty pharmacy models, HUB services, and multiple acquisition models, including buy and bill.
  • Deep understanding of the relationship between payers, providers, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies in the reimbursement process.
  • Experience engaging with large, complex provider accounts or institutions and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders on significant implementation or access matters.
  • Proven ability to develop solutions to complex business and customer challenges, exercise sound judgment and considerable latitude, and drive cross-functional execution without immediate direction.
  • Strong ability to translate field insights, policy changes, payer trends, and stakeholder feedback into recommendations that improve process consistency, patient access, and implementation effectiveness.
  • Track record of leading through influence, coordinating matrixed partners, and achieving results through collaboration rather than direct authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to educate, consult, and represent the organization with senior stakeholders and external decision-makers.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time across the designated region; this is a field-based role where in-person meetings with key stakeholders are important to success.
