Role Description
As part of the Global Coding Team (GCT), ensures the management of the MedDRA and WHODrug governance model of the Safety/ICSR Coding Team.
- Management of Safety/ICSR Coding Team, both internal and outsourced.
- Management of departmental and/or organizational process improvement projects.
- Management of departmental budgets and projects future financial and resource needs.
- Management of Clinical Coding or Safety/ICSR coding workflow and training.
- Accountable for Safety ICSR MedDRA and WHODrug governance, including upversioning, Standardized Queries, Coding Guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Accountable for the mitigation and resolution of Coding Management Committee inquiries and/or actions.
- This role can be remote in the US.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with related health science background, BSN, BS, BS Pharm, PharmD or advanced degree.
- 5-7 years related experience; 2 years should be in management of Clinical Coding or Safety/ICSR team.
- MedDRA and WHODrug coding experience required.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of MedDRA and WHODrug is required.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of medical and medication terminology is required.
- Demonstrated experience in a people leader capacity is required.
