[Hiring] Assistant Procurement Manager @WSP

Role Description

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Procurement Project Manager to support utility and power delivery projects. This role will support capital programs and project execution within our Power & Energy team and is critical to ensuring the successful planning, sourcing, and delivery of materials, equipment, and services.

The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced, projectized environment, partnering closely with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Schedulers, and internal Procurement to meet client objectives and solve complex supply chain challenges. This position will have the ability to work remotely from anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in a project management role within our industry.
• Experience supporting projects in a projectized environment.
• Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
• Proven ability to uphold workplace safety standards.
• Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain work authorization prior to start date.
• This position is subject to and contingent upon client approval of candidates.
• This role is eligible for employment visa sponsorship for qualified candidates.

Requirements

• 5+ years of supply chain or procurement experience for senior-level consideration.
• 3+ years of experience in the Power Delivery or Utility sector.
• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred.
• Knowledge of electric utility structures, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Strong assessment and proposal evaluation skills.
• Proven negotiation experience with vendors and service providers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and procurement systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
