Meet the team and get to know the people behind Evonik: Meet the Team

• Work closely with customers to resolve issues with flotation and adjacent processes.
• Discover customer needs and work with the mining team for solutions.
• Evaluate flotation collectors in the customer's ore, report laboratory results to the business and to the customers.
• Support biosurfactants development in Brazil and LATAM.
• Work with other colleagues to develop the market and drive sales.
• Obtain ore samples from the mines and deliver samples to the laboratories.
• Provide analytical analysis of ores, concentrates, tailings and analyze results.
• Manage mining laboratory effort in Brazil, perform customer evaluations and application research for mining flotation supporting the sales/marketing/research of mining applications.
• Report results internally and externally, develop application data for flotation customers.
• Increase knowledge about mining in Brazil and iron ore flotation industry.
• Assist Evonik in the shipment of ore for mining research in the USA.
• Travel with other mining teams in person and independently to customers to build relationships.
• Identify competitive opportunities and activities, collect ore samples for tests.
• Attend conferences and sanctioned internal meetings.
• Investigate new application opportunities for chemicals from Evonik's portfolio in mining processes.
• Write and publish technical papers to show in Mining conferences and support Evonik's marketing.
• Train customers in flotation process and in the application of Evonik's products.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Higher Education in Mining, Mineral Processing, or Mining Engineering with emphasis on flotation or equivalent experience with flotation (especially with experience in iron ore) and other applications of chemical products in the mineral processing stage.
• Required to live within Minas Gerais, Brazil as the majority of work and customers are located there.
• Experience enables job holder to deal with the majority of situations and to advise others.
• Experience of general supervision of more junior colleagues.
• Negotiates without supervision and provides technical guidance when required.

Requirements

• Higher Education in Mining, Mineral Processing, or Mining Engineering.
• Experience in flotation, especially with iron ore.
• Ability to advise others and deal with various situations.
• Experience supervising junior colleagues.
• Negotiation skills and ability to obtain consensus.
