Role Description

The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Donor Relations Manager. This position can be home-based within the Greater Seattle area or Southern California (including Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire, or San Diego). This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, grant-funded opportunity, with current funding expiring on 10/01/2028, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and driving high-capacity donor and gift stewardship services.
• Growing established relationships with donors and their representatives.
• Serving as a strategic project manager to ensure fulfillment of grant/gift deliverables.
• Developing, guiding, and executing processes for fulfillment excellence.
• Monitoring projects led by implementation teams.
• Customizing and finalizing donor impact reports.
• Overseeing collaboration with the Mission Advancement MarCom team.
• Providing exceptional support to build and maintain positive donor relationships.
• Monitoring donor preferences and recommending engagement opportunities.
• Leading the transition from gift award to fulfillment.
• Customizing and developing high-quality interim and final project reports.
• Leading donor recognition efforts with various teams.
• Managing project tasks in Asana project management software.
• Recording relationship activity in the CRM database.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated report writing skills.
• Proficient in advanced PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM systems.
• Experience in grant writing and grant requirements.
• Experience developing and delivering PowerPoint presentations.
• Ability to establish and manage project plans and timelines.
• Ability to facilitate meetings and lead teams.
• Ability to travel up to 25% local and overnight stay.

Requirements

• Experience with Fundraising, Donor Stewardship, and/or Marketing.
• Decision-making ability to solve problems under pressure.
