[Hiring] Relationship Manager @Principal Financial Group

Role Description

In our Customer Care area, the Relationship Manager develops deep relationships with advisors, plan sponsors, and third-party administrators that are in our 10M - 200M market space in Minnesota. This role is the strategic partner to our clients and advisors to provide creative solutions that meet business goals of retention, growth, and retirement readiness to name a few.

• Collaborate with the plan sponsor and the advisor on plan design, investments, retirement readiness, services and new opportunities.
• Plan level health reviews.
• Problem solving complex issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience required.
• 4+ years retirement industry experience.
• Must become an associated person of Principal Securities, Inc.
• Qualified Plan knowledge strongly preferred (Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution).
• Excellent demonstrated leadership, negotiation, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.
• Superior interpersonal, analytical, and oral and written communication skills.
• Must be assertive and entrepreneurial.
• Travel required (approx. 10%), mostly day travel but there will be some overnight travel as well.

Requirements

• 6+ years of retirement industry experience (for Relationship Manager III).

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

• Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly): $84,600 - $139,700 / year
• Relationship Manager II: $84,700 - $139,700 / year
• Relationship Manager III: $104,400 - $171,600 / year

Location

The territory covered by this position requires the candidate to live in Minnesota.

Work Environment

You will be able to work from home when not at customer meetings.
