[Hiring] Formulation Account Manager @Blanka

Role Description

We're looking for a detail-obsessed, relationship-driven Formulation Account Manager to own the journey of our custom formulation clients, from kickoff to finished SKU. This is a hybrid role, part account management, part sales, part project management.

As our Formulation Account Manager, you'll be the main point of contact for clients developing custom formulation SKUs. You'll guide them through every stage of the process, including:

• Briefing
• R&D
• Sampling
• Revisions
• Approvals
• Packaging

This is a client-facing role for someone who is hyper organized, proactive, and comfortable talking chemistry with both clients and our formulation team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in project management, account management, or client success, ideally in a product development or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with or strong working knowledge of cosmetic chemistry, formulation development, or a related scientific field.
• Track record of managing multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable leading client conversations.
• Experience with project management or CRM tools (HubSpot experience a plus).

Requirements

• Manage the end-to-end custom formulation process for multiple clients at once, keeping every project on schedule and every stakeholder informed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout development, proactively updating them on progress, next steps, and any changes before they have to ask.
• Translate client goals and feedback into clear briefs for our formulation and R&D teams, and translate technical formulation details back into language clients understand.
• Build and maintain project timelines across multiple concurrent SKUs, flag risks early, and keep things moving when priorities shift.
• Coordinate sample rounds, track client feedback, and manage revision cycles until formulas are approved.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts, whether that's additional SKUs, new product categories, or upsells, and bring a sales mindset to client conversations.
• Keep meticulous records of specs, approvals, and version history for every formulation, and help refine our internal processes as the team scales.
• Partner closely with Formulation, Operations, and Sales to make sure custom projects launch smoothly and on time.
