[Hiring] Commercial Relationship Specialist @Associated Bank

Role Description

Provide administrative and relationship support to the Commercial Banking team through the loan closing and relationship management process, which includes:

• Completing loan preparation, review, documentation, and funding.
• Providing deposit support to the team.
• Assisting Relationship Managers (RMs) and Portfolio Managers (PMs) with monitoring and managing the ongoing life of a loan portfolio.
• Handling client's financial reporting.
• Ensuring adherence to standards and regulatory requirements.
• Working directly with business customers, outside counsel, and business partners to address needs and provide superior customer service.
• Completing projects as assigned.

Job Accountabilities

• LOAN CLOSINGS: Serve in an active role on the deal team, coordinating all aspects of required loan documentation, including:
  • Ordering all due diligence documentation.
  • Reviewing loan documents for accuracy in partnership with the deal team.
  • Closing the loan with the client.
  • Working with Commercial Loan Services and outside counsel to ensure proper documentation.
• PORTFOLIO / COLLATERAL ADMINISTRATION: Provide support through the life of the loan by leveraging online bank systems to process daily transactions based on customer requests and review of customer financial information.
  • Analyze collateral and financial reports received on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Work with clients to validate discrepancies and collect past due financial and legal documentation.
  • Ensure accurate reporting for collateral and financial monitoring.
  • Input and direction from team and Leads may be needed to ensure quality customer service.
• CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Service clients and affiliates by solving problems and addressing complex questions.
  • Function as a liaison between operations/support departments, Commercial Banking teams, and customers.
  • Work with clients on fraud, overdrafts, and wire issues.
  • Act as a central resource area for Commercial Banking issues.
  • Provide back-up support to other team members as needed.
• LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT: Work with RMs and PMs to ensure portfolio administration and risk management complies with established policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain awareness of internal policies and procedures.
  • Attend training sessions to hone skills and improve efficiency.
  • Provide support on various projects as needed by the Commercial Banking team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Finance.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Accounting.

Requirements

• 2-4 years in Banking or office with knowledge of banking products, services, procedures, and practices, along with loan documentation knowledge.
• Less than 2 years of experience in loan documentation, monitoring, and closing related to Commercial Banking (Preferred).
• Less than 2 years of experience with internal systems including Ambit Commercial Lending System, CoreBank, SalesPro, and Stucky (Preferred).
