Role Description

The Client Account Coordinator is a collections role responsible for the accounting administrative functions within Fleet Management. Those functions include:

  • Researching billing questions and contacting customers on accounts receivable balances.
  • Main point of contact for accounts receivable and billing questions for local sales teams, administrative offices, and external customers.
  • Daily communication with customers via phone and email to obtain payment and negotiate payment plans.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for billing and accounts receivable by providing timely and accurate responses to escalated issues/questions.
  • Identifying customers in risky positions and providing problem resolution when needed.
  • Pro-actively escalating problem accounts to AR Supervisor, AR Manager, and group Finance Managers based on risk/equity position, amount of past due, and bad debt impact.
  • Completing detailed account reconciliations and applying payments to ensure compliance with asset-backed financing rules.
  • Performing account maintenance in PeopleSoft AR in compliance with accounting policies.
  • Partnering with other departments and local offices to research and process billing and accounting transactions.
  • Reviewing, researching, and clearing AR balance sheet accounts.
  • Managing banking information of customers for automatic and manual electronic funds transfers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must currently live in Kansas City, KS/MO area.
  • Minimum 2 years accounting, billing, or accounts receivable experience.
  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience.
  • Accounting software knowledge preferred (Quickbooks, PeopleSoft Financials, etc.).
  • Some college coursework in Accounting or Business preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel.
  • Ability to meet all work from home technical requirements.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship.
