Role Description

The AVP, RM Client provides strategic leadership to a team of Account Executives, driving the growth of HealthEquity's Further account base and custodial assets with existing employer partners. This role champions strong client relationships, develops market-driven strategies, and ensures the team delivers consultative support and exceptional service. The AVP, RM Client also focuses on team development, cross-functional engagement, and advocating for both client and team needs.

• Manages and carries out personnel actions for direct reports, including hiring, scheduling, training, evaluating, coaching, and managing performance.
• Leads and supports the team in achieving account and custodial assets growth within existing employer partnerships.
• Guides the team in establishing and maintaining strong client relationships, including their client’s consultant/broker and other ecosystem vendor partners.
• Provides strategic leadership to Account Executives in building business partnerships, analyzing market dynamics, and developing growth strategies.
• Serves as an escalation point for the team, advocating internally for employer partners.
• Oversees and guides the team on consultative strategic activities with employer partners.
• Supports the team in developing and reporting client financial performance, including renewal planning and negotiation.
• Ensures the team delivers exceptional service, support, and solutions to clients.
• Shares healthcare and client industry knowledge with the team and advocates for team member needs.
• Collaborates with leaders across the business on cross-functional initiatives.
• Actively participates in internal HealthEquity operational and leadership meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Proven track record of over 8-10+ years of working with senior-level executives in the Insurance or Finance industry.
• 8-10 years of strategic and consultative selling experience within the CDH, Insurance, or Finance industry.
• Expert relationship management skills including negotiation, collaboration, and listening skills.
• Familiarity with the Health Insurance Industry and all types of Health Accounts.
• MS Office and Salesforce proficiency preferred.
• Presentation skills including messaging and positioning information to meet and influence client needs.
• Proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Strong working knowledge of employer benefits framework and plan design.
• Proven leadership skills; prior management experience preferred.
• Heavy travel may be required (more than 30%).

Onboarding & Travel

This is a remote role, with an in-person onboarding training component. New team members must participate in Trailhead, HealthEquity’s immersive onboarding experience designed to foster meaningful connections and support integration into the organization.

Trailhead participation is a key expectation of this role and is held onsite at our headquarters once per quarter. HealthEquity covers all required travel and accommodations.

This role may begin with a virtual, self-paced onboarding experience, followed by a mandatory onsite Trailhead session at a later date.
