Role Description

beehiiv is the all-in-one newsletter and creator platform powering the next generation of media companies and independent voices. We help creators and businesses launch, grow, and monetize newsletters—now serving tens of thousands of publishers and reaching hundreds of millions of readers monthly. With $30M+ ARR, 100% YoY growth, and a newly expanded product suite (ad network, website builder, paid tiers), we’re entering our next phase of hypergrowth.

We’re seeking an Account Manager to own the commercial relationship with our existing customer base. You’ll lead expansions, upgrades, renewals and pricing, and you’ll be the kind of autonomous, hungry and creative operator who uncovers new ways to grow with our customers and uses AI and automation to build smarter processes along the way.

Candidates must be based in the U.S. and open to time zones.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years in account management or sales at a high-growth B2B SaaS company, owning a book of business and its revenue number
• Proven track record growing revenue within an existing customer base
• A high degree of comfort working with existing customers on product use, renewals and pricing
• Strong commercial judgment: you can weigh a customer’s history, risk and strategic value against business goals and make the call
• A self-starter mentality, eager to uncover new growth opportunities
• Hands-on experience building with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, automation platforms) to streamline your own work, such as custom workflows, agents, dashboards or reporting

Requirements

• Commercial acumen that aligns broader business goals with a customer-first mindset.
• Comfortable working autonomously in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Obsessed with customer outcomes and accelerating company growth.
• Clear and concise communicator (verbally and in written form) and can develop cohesive, data-driven narratives verbally and in writing.
• Rigorous attention to detail
• Creator economy or SaaS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Expansions and Upgrades: Move Enterprise and non-Enterprise customers to the right plan as they grow, and run proactive expansion against a quarterly revenue target.
• Renewals: Lead the renewal cycle with customers on annual plans in partnership with Customer Success.
• Revenue Recovery: Lead initiatives and customer communications to handle delinquent churn and win back churned customers.
• Custom Pricing & Packages: Put together custom quotes for customers as needed.
• Understanding Customer Needs: Partner closely with customers to understand their needs to drive growth and upgrades, and prevent churn.
• Getting Creative: There are countless commercial opportunities within our existing customer base; the right Account Manager will find them!
• Building with AI: Own, build and test AI-powered workflows and automations for the AM function, and share what you’re building, and its impact on business goals, with leadership and the team.
