[Hiring] Platform Engineer @Giant Swarm

Role Description

We are looking for a Platform Engineer (m/f/d) specializing in Security to join our product development team, and play an integral role in crafting our managed Kubernetes platform offering. You will help design and build security features, tooling, and processes for a mature, battle-tested Kubernetes and AI infrastructure platform.

• Design and build security features, tooling, and processes for our managed Kubernetes platform
• Build Kubernetes Operators, MCP servers, and orchestration tools for popular applications
• Use, support, and become a key expert in a variety of technologies from the open-source community, including Falco, Trivy, Kubescape, Kyverno, SPIFFE/SPIRE, Prometheus, and Flatcar Linux
• Regularly interact with customers to investigate issues, learn about their use cases, and provide expert guidance
• Participate in an on-call rotation as part of our ‘you build it, you run it’ philosophy
• Improve operations, such as adding metrics or building dashboards
• Opportunity to participate in company “blue team” activities, like compliance, vulnerability management, and security incident response

Qualifications

• Expert experience with Go and Helm
• Strong architectural background
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes
• Experienced Linux user
• Comfortable deploying to production multiple times a day and love to automate all the things
• Comfortable building and working with distributed systems
• Able to align parts of your workday with Europe (UTC +/- 2 hours) and the United States (PST)

Requirements

• Bonus points for meaningful experience with Kubernetes security tooling
• Experience maintaining an open-source security project
• Experience as an incident responder
• Experience working in a “blue team” role
