[Hiring] Gas Supply & Logistics Analyst @Calor

Role Description

Calor Gas is currently seeking an engaging and proactive Gas Supply and Logistics Analyst. In this role, you will provide day-to-day support to the Gas Supply & Logistics Manager, focusing on all gas supply matters. This includes effective communication and collaboration with depots, refineries, primary planning/distribution, SHV, and key suppliers.

This role requires liaising with a variety of stakeholders, at various levels within those organisations. You must be self-motivated, with attention to detail and an ability to make good, clear informed decisions and a good communicator. Maintaining a level of involvement in wider Operations projects is also required.

Your responsibilities:

• The production of regular supply plans for the business, including liaison and discussion with operational locations, Primary planning/distribution and external refineries.
• Monitoring of terminal stock forecasts and providing regular updates to SHV Supply & Risk Management.
• Ownership and control of all shipping related activity – including vetting of vessels and liaison with S&RM, terminals and related outside agencies.
• Liaison with Finance on a regular basis, including providing monthly figures, financial forecasts, and all related invoicing activity.
• Administration of all 3rd party merchanting activity, including liaison with those companies, primarily at senior level.
• Liaison with Sales over hedging requests (derivatives).
• Continued involvement in selected Operations projects, more widely linked to the department and not always specifically Gas Supply related.
• Support to the Gas Supply & Logistics Manager, as required, on ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or suitable skills, knowledge and experience.
• Previous experience in an Operations environment.
• Knowledge and ability to utilise Microsoft Office to a good standard.
• Highly numerate and proficient in Excel.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels across both Calor and other key organisations.
• Have a working knowledge of relational databases and ERP systems, JDEdwards / SAP / PowerBI.
