Role Description
To enhance our presence in China, we are hiring a Sr. Marketing Manager, Greater China (primarily for China with some responsibilities for Hong Kong / Macau and Taiwan as well). This role, reporting directly to the APAC Marketing Director, will lead marketing strategy and execution for the territory, in addition to a percentage of time covering other territories in North Asia and functional marketing responsibilities across the APAC region. This function requires a hands-on, proactive and highly motivated individual. The position offers excellent career perspectives with an opportunity to eventually lead a larger marketing group or team.
The position will oversee localization of marketing materials for existing and new products, inclusive of:

Creation of localized content for print or web to represent our products to current and potential clients in China.

Maintaining close working relationships with PacBio sales and support teams across the region and in China (and 2 other locations in North Asia) to ensure that marketing activities are in line with PacBio regional commercial goals.

Possessing channel marketing experience will be a bonus as the candidate will be expected to work very closely with our various sales channel partners of record in China (and beyond).
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in science.

8+ years of experience in marketing positions (product, segment, channel, corporate and/or applications marketing) in a global biotech / life sciences / medtech environment.

Strong understanding of scientific applications and technology developments in the field of genomics. Experience with NGS sequencing technology a plus.

Strong oral and written English and Chinese communications skills and a track record establishing relationships with customers and industry partners.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Familiarity with customer relationship management, marketing automation platforms like SFDC, Marketo, Pardot.

Strong Microsoft Office software skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge about marketing databases, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns is preferred.

Ability to travel in this role, with a minimum of 30% in-country travel and the occasional international travel.
Requirements

Directly responsible for the marketing function of PacBio in China (with a secondary focus on Hong Kong and Taiwan) and collaborate with the channel, sales and market development team to achieve the yearly revenue targets.

Work collaboratively with our APAC marketing team and USA-based Global Integrated Marketing Teams in localizing global initiatives to meet the needs of the Korean market.

Refine the positioning of PacBio SMRT™ sequencing products and technology for Korea end-users.

Generate compelling tools and content or adapt global content to influence customers, key opinion leaders and industry experts.

Nurture reference sites and KOLs of target product in various target market segments.

Support the local sales teams by providing training, resources, and messaging for products.

Support product launches by creating product-related campaigns and promotions.

Amplify positioning, content and promotions using social media tools.

Oversee the conversion of PacBio’s web presence into Chinese language.

Conduct market research and communicate market and competitive intelligence to APAC and global teams.

Organize events, such as conferences, tradeshows, webinars and seminars.

Ensure that commercial tactics and strategies are consistent with and supportive of PacBio’s global objectives.

Become the advocate of HiFi technology in China (and Hong Kong, Taiwan) and APAC.
Benefits

Salary Range: ¥413,300.00 - ¥619,900.00
