[Hiring] Director of Growth Marketing @Saltbox

Role Description

This role involves leading Saltbox’s performance marketing efforts while unlocking new scalable channels for member acquisition and brand awareness.

• Oversee paid media channels (primarily Google and Meta)
• Manage an agency or contractor
• Conduct conversion rate optimization for the website and landing pages
• Own a robust experimentation roadmap
• Bring fresh thinking across paid, SEO, lifecycle, referral, outbound, and influencer strategies
• Be AI-enabled and up to speed on the latest in martech

What You’ll Do

• Paid Media Leadership
  • Own and optimize Saltbox’s paid media strategy across Google and Meta
  • Manage our media agency for efficient execution
  • Test into new platforms (e.g., Reddit, X, outbound email, lifecycle email)
  • Use audience insights and member data for segmentation, messaging, and targeting
• Conversion Rate Optimization & Website/Landing Page Ownership
  • Conduct A/B and multivariate testing across landing pages
  • Use tools like Google Optimize, VWO, or Optimizely for rapid testing
  • Personalize landing experiences using UTM parameters and geo-location
  • Continuously refine lead capture forms
• Growth Experimentation
  • Build and lead a structured growth experimentation roadmap
  • Identify and test new tactics in SEO, outbound, referral, influencer marketing, and lifecycle/email marketing
  • Prioritize quick wins and high-impact initiatives
• Localized & Community-Aware Marketing
  • Design geo-targeted growth strategies
  • Collaborate with field marketing, creative, community marketing, and operations leads
  • Optimize performance by market using local insights
• Analytics & Martech
  • Own reporting and analysis across all growth channels
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools
  • Identify and implement marketing tools to enhance campaign efficiency
• Leadership & Execution
  • Lead and mentor a small growth team and agency partners
  • Work cross-functionally with content, demand gen, community, product, and sales teams
  • Operate at both strategic and tactical levels

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, or demand generation
• Proven success managing paid acquisition on Google and Meta
• Experience with website/landing page optimization
• Proven success managing or collaborating on lifecycle/email marketing
• Bonus: outbound marketing strategy experience
• Bonus: experience with localized marketing
• Strong grasp of a growth experimentation framework
• Bonus: experience with SEO, referral, and/or influencer programs
• Hands-on operator with a history of scaling early-stage companies
• Strong analytical skills
• Fluent in modern martech and AI-enabled tools
• Strategic thinker and clear communicator
• Ability to balance the art and science of modern growth marketing
