[Hiring] IT Documentation Manager / Technical Writer @Yms Associates

A well-established, growing and dynamic IT Firm is seeking an IT Documentation Manager / Technical Writer who will play a crucial role in efficiently organizing, managing, and maintaining the IT documentation within our Managed Service Provider (MSP) using the IT Glue platform. This position will be instrumental in enhancing our IT service delivery, enabling seamless collaboration among teams, and providing clients with top-notch support.

• Organize, categorize, and maintain all IT-related documentation using the IT Glue platform.  
• Create, edit, and enhance technical documents, including SOP’s, troubleshooting guides, knowledge base articles, and network diagrams.
• Maintain a consistent and user-friendly writing style to facilitate easy comprehension of technical content.
• Implement quality control processes to verify the accuracy and consistency of documentation.
• Conduct periodic reviews and audits of IT Glue content to identify and address discrepancies or outdated information.
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness
• Suggest improvements to the structure and organization of IT Glue content to optimize accessibility and searchability.
• Provide training to IT teams on best practices for documenting IT assets, processes, and procedures.
• Offer support and guidance to colleagues in utilizing IT Glue effectively for documentation purposes.
• Uphold strict security protocols for the storage and handling of sensitive information within IT Glue
• Ensure proper access controls and permissions to safeguard confidential data.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related field.
• Proven experience in document management, technical writing, or content creation, preferably within an IT environment or MSP setting.
• Familiarity with IT Glue or similar IT documentation platforms
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize complex information in a clear and coherent manner.
• Proficiency in using technical writing tools, Microsoft Office suite, and other documentation software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a user-friendly manner.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, network topology, and IT best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.
