This position is a member of the programming team that supports the statistical analyses of clinical trials and/or other programming activities for clinical development with minimal supervision. Specific responsibilities include development, validation, and documentation of code used for the analyses and reporting of clinical data.

The Statistical Programmer should have training equivalent to a BS, MS preferred, in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field, and minimum of 3 years experience in Statistical Programming using the SAS system in clinical data analysis.

Essential responsibilities:

• Develop SAS programs and specifications to create ADaM datasets following CDISC standards.

• Develop SAS programs and specifications to create SDTM datasets following CDISC standard.

• Develop SAS programs and specifications to create datasets for ISS and ISE for NDA submissions.

• Plan, write and execute SAS statistical programs designed to analyze clinical trial data and produce tables, figures and listings. 

• Use SAS to validate tables and datasets (ADaM/SDTM, ISS/ISE, or non-CDISC analysis/derived).

• Summarize clinical trial data using Instat's proprietary SAS macro library to produce tables, figures and listings with little supervision.

• Perform other programming tasks as needed per Project Lead requests.

• Strengthen SAS programming skills with proficiency in SAS/Base, SAS/Macros, SAS Procedures, SAS/SQL, SAS data step programming and SAS/Graph.

• SAS programming support for exploratory analyses, non-clinical analyses & publication analyses.

• Assist in the development of table, figure, and/or listing shells to support the Statistical Analysis Plan under the direction of a lead programmer and/or statistician.

• Report directly to Manager, Statistical Programming.
