About the role:

As a Senior Technical Solutions Architect, you'll be an important part of the Solution Engineering organisation supporting the growth of Virtuoso. This role will start off as a lead architect, then over the next 12 months build and manage a team of TSAs as a player coach. To be considered for this opportunity, you'll have demonstrable experience in the following areas, and preferably within software testing, quality assurance products and technologies aligned to DevOps/Agile practices (open to skilled individuals from other SaaS, Cloud related offerings):

The list of duties is not exhaustive and is subject to change. The Technical Solutions Engineer will carry out the following tasks.

• Work with the sales & customer success teams to engage customers (pre and post sales) with the scoping, delivery and maintenance of technical solutions.
• Work with customers (pre and post sales) to perform tasks such as:
  • Javascript based solutions for extending the Virtuoso platform
  • Create API solutions for integrations between Virtuoso and other platforms, databases and tools
  • Prepare customer facing solutions on common DevOps and QA tools such as Ci/CD, test management tools, reporting tools and other related tools.
  • Work on connectivity solutions including Virtuoso’s Bridge client, VPNs, authentication based tools and more, including assisting customers with network and connectivity debugging from private networks to establish secure connections with cloud solutions.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers across the globe, within all sizes of organisations (SME, Enterprises and Partners) and across all industries and job roles.
  • Be a skilled technical consultant, being able to gather, analyse, solution, present and deliver both within short term pilots with tight deadlines and in key customer engagements
  • Prepare documentation to support solutions and supplement Virtuoso’s already rich online documentation
  • Hands on assistance/contribution with Solution Engineering & Customer related projects as required
  • Work with the Solution Engineering, Customer Success, Product & Marketing teams to ensure current trends are captured and communicated from the market to evolve Virtuoso’s GTM models, product roadmap and strategic vision
  • Be an evangelist for Virtuoso, promoting the value of the company and the platform
  What we need from you
• 5 years+ experience in technical solutions engineering
• Necessary technical skills:
  • Advanced Javascript knowledge
  • Able to build with HTML/XML, REST/SOAP API’s
  • Able to work with networking to ensure connectivity between Virtuoso and other networks
  • Able to work with SQL databases (connectivity, querying)
• Consulting skill set
• Strong knowledge of the SDLC, DevOps and test automation
• Proven track record of supporting and winning pilots/proof of concepts as well as supporting customers in post sales environments
• Working with reporting and project management tools.
• A real “Completer-finisher” together
• Your communication and interpersonal skills allow you to work with various stakeholders both internally and externally
• You can balance workloads, working with multiple projects and deliverables concurrently
• You are creative and like to think outside the box when solving problems or designing solutions.
• You are able to travel 30-50% of your time, once we've found "a new normal". In the meantime, you are using digital and virtual tools and channels to move projects forward with our clients.
