[Hiring] Lead Mobile Engineer @Tangelo

Tangelo aims to improve healthy food access and promote healthier lifestyles by making nutritious, affordable, and delicious food options accessible through a benefits platform for low-income families and those with chronic conditions. Our platform provides subsidized medically tailored meals and healthy grocery delivery at reduced costs, or even free, through partnerships with insurance companies, governments, universities, non-profits, and employers.

As a Lead Mobile Engineer at Tangelo, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of our mobile applications, while delivering a seamless and engaging user experience. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, from developing and launching new mobile applications to updating and optimizing existing ones. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability and performance of the applications, and in making data-driven decisions to continuously improve the user experience.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background, a passion for mobile technology, and a desire to deliver outstanding user experiences. You should have extensive, successful experience in mobile engineering, particularly with React Native, and a track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and reliable mobile applications. • Leading the product development journey for our mobile applications, from ideation to delivery and support, and collaborating closely with the team
• Showcasing your expertise in React Native and driving the implementation of cutting-edge solutions
• Regularly updating stakeholders on project progress and delivering iterative value
• Ensuring the reliability and high quality of our products through a commitment to excellence and collaboration with colleagues and users
• Crafting clean, maintainable, and scalable code that powers our mobile applications
• Working closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, QA engineers, and product managers, to ensure seamless integration and development

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 6+ years of experience, or 8+ years of relevant work experience
• A deep understanding of JavaScript-powered mobile technologies, particularly React Native and PWAs
• Full stack capabilities and a passion for writing clean, efficient code
• Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of mobile engineers
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
