About the role

As a Full Stack Software Engineer on the Engage team at Fable, you’ll work closely with product, design, and other engineers to design and develop enterprise-quality features that support our mission to build more inclusive digital products. As part of a small company and team, you'll be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle and be encouraged to share your thoughts and ideas along the way.

What you’ll be doing

• Contributing to the full product development lifecycle from ideation to deployment
• Operating across our entire technology stack - Node.js, MongoDB, Express, React, AWS, and more
• Developing and maintaining accessible front-end features
• Developing and maintaining backend functionality

Requirements

Who we’re looking for

• At least 2 years of experience developing web applications with JavaScript
• Experience in full-stack development (front-end, back-end, databases, and APIs)
• Knowledgeable in the craft of software development, including concepts like automated testing, continuous integration, and design patterns
• Mission motivated and excited to join a startup focused on having a positive social impact

You are

• Willing to learn about accessibility and follow inclusive design practices
• Willing to learn new tools and are comfortable adjusting to change
• Able to work within bounds of North American time zones, Eastern Time preferred

Pay range

$90k CAD - $120k CAD - this is a range and is subject to change, depending on experience and role fit.
