Through your desire to produce beautiful new features and improving user experience - the most cruicial thing you'll be doing by joining us would be making a massive impact!

You will be one of our design system and accessibility experts, helping us write correct semantic HTML in React and responsive css-in-js that scales. You will also contribute to our component libraries and design system to help us optimise and scale development.

You’ll work across different projects with stimulating problem-solving opportunities as part of a highly collaborative and supportive team.

You’ll thrive using agile methods and enjoy working openly and communicatively as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on producing high quality code and doing things the right way.

Your work on our platform will help people get on top of their finances and make better informed financial decisions.

We’re looking for developers who are willing to learn rather than experts in all of the following areas, but it’s great if you already have solid experience with a few things on our list, especially those at the front end of the stack.

As a member of our technical team you will:

• Share your knowledge of CSS, Semantic HTML & Accessibility with other Moneyhub developers
• Advocate your work more widely to the team, our users and our clients
• Have an empathetic approach to problem solving - understanding our users and clients requirements and translating them into great solutions.
• Be responsible for your code being robust, tested and deployed to production servers
• Write automated tests using Cypress/Jest/React Testing Library as part of our continuous integration and deployment environment
• Balancing your time effectively between project work, personal development and other engineering efforts
• Design and build features using web technologies to serve our user and client needs that work across a variety of platforms, and on desktop and mobile devices
• Contribute to our component library by sharing your experience and opinions to our accessible, reusable and themeable components
• Share knowledge of tools, techniques, new features and ideas with the Moneyhub team of developers and non developers
• Apply broad knowledge of web technologies to provide security, performance and scalability.

  • Can work across the front end stack, writing accessible and semantic markup, logical and extensible CSS and clear and performant JavaScript with React
  • Mentor Mid Level Developers in React
  • Carry out code reviews
  • Assist with Recruitment of Mid Levels Developers
  • Develop component libraries and design systems for themeable applications
  • Care about the end user
  • Can see when the product doesn’t look right, and know how to fix it
  • Are familiar with Storybook
  • Take a systematic approach to solving problems
  • Have experience of working with modern Javascript
  • Have knowledge of the React ecosystem, from testing to Hooks (and beyond)
  • Understanding of web security and performance.
  • Some React experience is required, and any previous experience with Redux, Next.js, Node.js and Microservices would be beneficial but isn’t necessary.
