What You'll Do 

 

Field Effect is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Cyber Range team. Cyber Range is our simulation and training platform, designed to help businesses of any size or complexity deliver hands-on security training easily. The platform allows you to create realistic environment replicas in minutes, either on your own hardware, or in the cloud. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will work alongside developers to provide workflow automation testing and ensure the quality of each release of our Cyber Range platform. We believe automation is key to the success of the product. 

As a Senior QA Engineer at Field Effect, you will:

• Attend all Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute ideas to the overall development of the platform
• Determine test plans for stories and workflows that are developed each iteration
• Create automation scripts to validate both new and legacy features of the portal
• Maintain test environments and assets
• Mentor junior team members and fellow teammates to write tests at the time of development where possible
• Provide build reports and release status update to stakeholders.

Skills & experience we look for

• 7 + years' experience and/or a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Experience with UI automation for responsive web applications
• Experience writing automated tests for REST APIs
• Experience using Selenium and WebDriverIO for automating UI interactivity
• Knowledge of setting up CI/CD pipelines and best practices (preferably in GitLab)
• General understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies
• Great attention to detail with a programmer's mind set
