Quality Assurance Software Engineer

Job Specifications:

Entando is increasing the focus on R&D for the evolution of its leading, next generation, modular application platform for Enterprises which accelerates the development of Cloud-Native applications. The quality software engineer candidate plays a critical role on the Entando Engineering team, working directly with product owners and technical leads to analyze project requirements, plan and schedule testing strategy, design and develop automation-testing framework in order to help us to ensure continuous product quality.

 

The ideal candidate has the responsibility to:

• Collaborate with the product owners and technical leads to analyze and review project requirements documentation, functional and technical specifications
• Create test case scripts based on functional specifications, prepare test data for testing, create test plans, execute tests and report progress
• Document and track software issues
• Design, implement and maintain the automation-testing framework for validating new and existing components releases, relating to UI, API and system test automation
• Perform functional and regression testing for releases
• Collaborate for planning and coordinating testing tasks
• Implement QA best practices and tools, issues and progress reporting

Level of Expertise:

A significant amount of experience (3+ years) in a Quality Assurance role.

Work Area & Type of Engagement:

Full time; residence in Italy is preferred; the organization of work can be discussed.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Software Engineer
• Extensive experience in software development and testing
• Knowledge of various software testing techniques and methods
• Strong analytical skills and attention to details
• Extensive experience with automation tools, libraries and framework such as Cypress, Selenium, Webdriver, Postman, Swagger and scripting languages
• Experience designing and implementing automation-testing framework
• Expertise in creating UI test frameworks using Page Object Model.
• Working knowledge of RESTful JSON APIs
• Working knowledge CI/CD management and with CI tools (Jenkins)
• Implementing integrations, continuous testing/integrations
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good spoken and written English communication skills

 

We'll be especially impressed if you have:

• Experience with automated API contract testing
• Expertise with data driven, script-less, Behavior-Driven automation frameworks (BDD)
• Knowledge of Quality Center tools for test management process
• Experience with SQL database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, other)
• Expertise on performance testing capabilities
• Experience working to coordinate users or third party testing
• Expertise working to evaluate problems and recommend possible solutions
