[Hiring] QA Engineer @Pagos

Data is core of everything we do at Pagos, as a QA Engineer, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the quality and consistency of our data and software products. 

With a keen eye for detail and a collaborative approach, you’ll partner with our Engineering and Product teams. You’ll focus on testing data pipelines, debugging code, and tracking down data inconsistencies, while partnering closely with our teams to build solutions. 

As a QA Engineer, you will:

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

• Design reliable test plans that match the target level of quality to ensure consistent delivery

• Proactively manage find, develop solutions, and track bugs

• Plan, coordinate, and communicate testing activities across cross-functional teams 

We’re looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of software testing experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)

• Excellent knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, testing principles and the software development lifecycle

• Excellent SQL knowledge, with experience writing and debugging complex queries

• Experience in both designing, executing, and tracking manual and automated testing 

• Experience in testing web-based and mobile applications, APIs, and REST

• Experience programming in Python, Shell scripting language, or equivalent experience

• A bias for action, where no task is too small 

• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal while working with an asynchronous global team

   

Nice to haves: 

• Experience in the fintech/finance industry

• Comfort and/or past experience working with big data testing

• Comfort and/or past experience working with ETL
