About the role (remote)

We are looking for a VP of Product to build a world-class product function in Dune. You’ll play an integral role in building a team of product managers and designers that bring exceptional and delightful experiences to our users. 

 

Blockchains represent the world’s first open and publicly accessible, always updating dataset. New paradigms enable new product experiences. At Dune we’re building the world’s first community data platform: An integrated and collaborative data platform experience uniquely tailored for a world of open blockchain data.

 

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, ideation to launch, and ensuring that our products meet the needs of our customers and the crypto community at large. You and the team will work closely with counterparts in the engineering and commercial teams to build the best possible experience.

 

In the role, you will:

• Translate Dune’s vision into a cohesive and well-articulated product vision and strategy

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product success

• Help develop pricing and packaging strategies for Dune's products

• Increase product development velocity through thoughtful planning, prioritisation and delivery

• Be responsible for building product principles, and launch checklists and criteria. 

• Build strong links with the commercial teams to deeply understand the needs of our users and customers. Drive customer obsession across the business.

• Build a healthy, scalable product organization while mentoring PMs.

• Define and measure key product metrics to evaluate product success and identify areas for improvement

• Stay up-to-date on blockchain trends and emerging database technologies to ensure that Dune's products remain innovative and competitive

You might be a great fit for this role if you have:

• Extensive product management experience in a product-led company, with some experience leading the development of data or blockchain products preferred.

• Strong executor with a proven track record of launching and managing high-quality products from ideation to launch.

• Ability to inspire both internally and externally and ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Strong collaborator: Experience establishing and leading cross-functional collaboration

• Mature vision for product team structure and product development process 

• Track record of delivering business growth by building the right products for customers.

• Prior experience managing, mentoring and building teams. Passion for creating a performance culture while remaining empathetic

• You have technical depth and are quick to understand the founder's vision 

• Early/growth stage startup experience, having built product processes from the ground up, enjoys building and working with ambiguity.

• Passion for blockchain technology and a desire to stay up-to-date on emerging trends

• A strong understanding of data and SQL in particular

 

Not required but a plus if you have:

• Crypto experience isn't necessary but a passion or interest in the space is preferred

• Experience managing teams in a remote setting in different timezones

• Experience from a data business

• API/Platform experience
