[Hiring] Marketing Coordinator @Axis Studios

This is no ordinary Marketing role….

Axis Studios is a multi-award winning Animation and VFX studio; we create content for some of the biggest names in the global entertainment industry, including Netflix, BBC, Microsoft, Amazon and Universal Studios.

We have grown consistently over the last 5 years in our three UK locations and have exciting plans for further development. Therefore reaching our clients and our audiences is more important than ever!

To help us achieve this, we are hiring a MARKETING COORDINATOR to join us to provide oversight and support for the day to day delivery of all external and internal communications.

So what does it take to succeed in the role?  

The ideal candidate will have graduated or have proven experience in marketing communications. They will be a proactive, organised, personable individual with an understanding of creative businesses. They will have a passion for the creative world such as design, photography, VFX, games or animation.

You'll be working in a fast paced environment, where deadlines and appropriate approvals are key so we're looking for someone who can work well under pressure with good communication skills. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the correct branding application is applied across all internal and external facing material.
• Coordinate all phases of, internal and external, publicity and marketing communications.
• Plan, coordinate and execute marketing activities including campaigns for releases and events. Evaluate the success of activities on an ongoing basis.
• Work to briefs to generate and collate press material including but not limited to writing press releases, social media posts, blog articles and interviewing staff ensuring they are properly optimised and targeted at the relevant sector.
• Liaise with external suppliers and partners where required.
• Coordinate award entries.
• Track the group's exposure/coverage across different communications/PR mediums.
• Research the industry landscape and note work, accomplishments or media coverage of key competitors.
• Coordinate attendance at key trade exhibitions and events.
• Maintain effective internal communications to ensure Axis Group stakeholders are kept informed of marketing objectives.
• Generate reports and forecasts.
• Keep up with the latest digital best practices, tactics, formats and channels.
• Play a role within the marketing team helping to develop competitiveness in the market.
• Generate ideas as part of the wider marketing team, always asking “What's next?”.

REQUIREMENTS

• Qualification or experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related fields.
• Experience in social media and content management systems
• Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop.
• The ability to multitask and re-prioritise work under pressure in a fast paced and ever changing environment is essential.
• The ability to work independently with a high level of autonomy, using your own initiative is essential. 
• Having a solid work ethic and positive attitude in the face of challenging situations is vital.
• Enthusiastic, energetic and highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail
• Articulate with creative writing and editorial skills.
• Solid planning and organisational skills, with ability to multitask.
• Professional, excellent communication skills, able to build relationships at all levels
• Ability to support and work cooperatively with other members of the Marketing team
• Recording, reporting and evaluating the success of events.
• Is a proactive self-starter
• Prioritises effectively
• Forecasts, rather than reacts
