HiveMQ is looking for a Communications Manager with strong writing skills and experience in the technology industry to build out our growing communications team. The ideal candidate will thrive amidst the pace of a growth stage company with a talent for interviewing customers and subject matter experts, taking technical information and turning it into clear, simple, and persuasive written communications. The role reports to the Head of Communications with a focus on helping to tell HiveMQ’s unique story to external audiences through a variety of communication channels including customer case studies, press releases, byline articles and blog content.

You will...

• Interview HiveMQ customers to develop compelling case studies that showcase the business value of our products and services
• Work with subject matter experts to reframe and distill technical information into clear and compelling written communications
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels
• Build relationships with journalists and influencers in the tech industry to secure media coverage and thought leadership opportunities
• Monitor and report on HiveMQ and IoT industry media coverage to identify trends and opportunities

You have...

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in public relations in the technology industry, agency experience is a plus
• Ability to quickly understand HiveMQ’s products and services, knowledge of topics related to the IoT industry such as AI, digital transformation, or cloud technologies is a plus
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with a demonstrated ability to craft compelling stories for various communications channels
• Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with journalists and media outlets to secure coverage opportunities
• A growth mindset and are always looking to learn and improve
• A positive attitude, a good sense of humor, and a desire to work in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
• An enthusiastic and supportive team player attitude; and can work effectively in collaboration with others
