We are looking for an awesome, switched on and all rounder TPB-registered accountant to manage a portfolio of clients in Australia.

You will be responsible for the delivery of any of our services that require Tax or BAS agent registration, like BAS submissions, STP, and annual company tax returns.

We are looking for someone to join our mission modernising how accounting and back office compliance is offered to small businesses.

You will have at least 2 years’ experience being fully responsible for all clients’ tax needs, and will be comfortable managing and nurturing a team of bookkeepers working remotely. You will have a passion for delivering great client service to our clients, with excellent organisational skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced and supportive environment. But more than anything, you will be an enthusiastic team player, excited about the role you can play in building an inclusive, respectful, fun team culture.

 

Responsibilities

• Supporting Sleek’s tax services in Australia, including internal process set-up
• Provide accounting and tax agent services to a portfolio of Australian startup and SME clients
• Liaising with the ATO on behalf of clients
• BAS preparation and submission
• Tax return preparation and submission
• Provide supervision and control for remote bookkeeping clients
• Advising and engaging with clients on various accounting & taxation matters
• Hire, train, nurture and grow a team of like minded accountants

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, including relevant Australian tax units
• TPB Tax agent registration as an individual with 2 years of experience - Mandatory
• 4+ years experience as a practising accountant and tax practitioner for sole traders and private companies

• 2+ years Xero Payroll experience, including setting up and assistance running Single Touch Payroll and superannuation
• Effective client servicing & communication skills
• High degree of professionalism, excellent representative of our organisation
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with Xero Practice Manager, Google suite (gmail, meets, drive), and other software applications
• Demonstrated ability to meet targets

• Our office is based in Sydney, but you can be located anywhere in Australia ( and must have a visa that allows you to work and live in Australia, we do not offer sponsorship for this role)
