Data without context is just a set of disconnected facts, meaningless points. To be useful, data needs to be converted into actionable knowledge. It needs to be intertwined into a bigger picture, associated with a hypothesis that needs to be solved. To do this we need an investigative sense, analytical experience and, above all, a curious mind.

CloudWalk wants to change how money is defined and used, and for that we need people that can navigate through uncharted waters of chaotic data. People that want to fight against this isomorphic world are all immersed into searching for new meanings, new possibilities. People that have critical thinking to go deeper into understanding the reasons behind why things happen.

Our R&D team is responsible for research and development of analysis, models and anything data related for usage in all areas of the company, like Marketing, Risk, Customer Support and others. We are looking for someone to analyze and transform data from different origins, to generate reports, create tools and find insights. Someone that will act as a bridge between the company Data Scientists and the business area.

Some Areas that we are looking for a Data Analyst:
    • Customer Lifecycle: Generate insights from analysis regarding customer behavior, analyze customer acquisition and churn, work on improving marketing campaigns and delivering dashboards for stakeholders.
    • Geospatial Data: Develop map visualizations, perform geospatial analysis and generate features for predictive models. Experience with maps and related packages like GIS, GeoPandas and Folium (or R equivalent packages) and knowledge of basic JavaScript and HTML is recommended.
    • Customer Support: Analyze data from interactions of humans with LLM-based bots, to assess quality and insights. Experience with NLP related tasks and knowledge of LLMs is recommended.

    • What You’ll Be Doing:
    • Create and maintain data visualization and dashboard tools
    • Gather data for evaluation of proposed methods by the team
    • Interpret data, and analyze results using statistical techniques
    • Filter and “clean” data from different sources
    • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
    • Suggest and engage in team collaborations for novel projects.

    • What You Need To Succeed:
    • Knowledge of programming languages, especially Python and SQL
    • Solid Data Visualization skills to create charts and dashboards
    • Strong analytical skills, ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
    • Communication skills. You should be able to communicate effectively with multiple teams.
    • Ability to communicate and debate in English and Portuguese.

    • Nice to have:
    • Interest in reading and implementing scientific papers (and related content) concepts and models. We value people willing to experiment to bring improvements to our processes, that try to understand what is behind the novelty of new concepts and paradigms.
    • Experience or interest in Machine Learning
    • Web Scraping skills
    • Ability to work with dirty data (unstructured or imperfect data)
    • Knowledge of BI tools such as Metabase or Tableau
    • Experience with Cloud platforms like GCP
    • Knowledge of geospatial concepts and principles, including coordinate systems, spatial data formats and related packages like GeoPandas, Folium, Mapbox and GIS (for the geospatial oriented position). If you know more R related packages like sf or Leaftet, that is also fine!
    • Experience with geospatial and geographic data sources like OpenStreetMap, IBGE data (Census and other surveys) is a plus!
    • Knowledge of NLP techniques, including interest on working with LLMs (for the Customer Support oriented position)
    • Understanding of test automation concepts and ability to collaborate on developing automated data quality tests.

      Data Analyst Scan.com USA full_time https://remotive.com/remote-jobs/data/data-analyst-1903317 https://remotive.com/remote-jobs/data/data-analyst-1903317 Fri, 22 Mar 2024 16:51:25 GMT Scan.com Data Analysis

We’re Scan.com, the digital health scale-up that gives patients and physicians simpler, faster access to medical imaging.

At the heart of Scan.com lies a different way of doing things: empowering patients to make financially smart decisions, enabling live scheduling for patients and providers, and easing clinician workloads through AI. It’s our mission to make medical scans accessible to all.

You’ll be joining us at an exciting time - we’ve recently launched our physician marketplace product in the USA to great success, have raised over $60m in VC funding and are on track to grow over 300% in 2024.

WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING INVOLVED IN

Our vision for Data is to enable everyone in the company to be owners of performance and scientific in their approach to learning from data and for data directly to be used to enhance our product experience.

Data Analysts are the people who make self-service learning possible. They work with people to understand and, to begin with, directly assist with their learning needs. Over time, as both the needs mature and the analysts' understanding of how to address them, they build their understanding into curated data products that enable learnings to be generated without the direct support of data professionals. It’s a role where mastery in metric setting, data visualization, product management and partnering come together to build and maintain curated data products that facilitate team learning, execution and learning again within their daily rhythms.

As one of the first hires on the data team, reporting into the Chief Operations Officer (with support from the interim Head of Data), you will have the opportunity to play an integral role in the setup of the foundations for future success. We don’t have any data models built in Snowflake yet, so expect to have to get your hands dirty in the first few months and be involved in the SQL from the raw data layer - don’t worry we will support you along the way!

As an early-stage business, you can expect your role to develop over time. However, some of the types of things you could be getting involved in are:

      • Partnering: Partner with your data peers and the wider business stakeholders to ensure we effectively respond to high-priority needs with clear outcomes. You will need to expect a mixture of ad-hoc work and developing data products which enable us to scale.
      • Enabling Self-Service: Develop high-quality insights and visualization products utilizing technical skills and data storytelling principles that allow users across the business to engage with and understand data about a specific topic better without requiring the direct support of a data professional.
      • Implementing Metrics: Help to design and implement a set of metrics that summarize performance from company success whilst ensuring that their foundations are reliable.
      • Data Champion: Help to push the data organization towards higher performance by working with your data peers on issues affecting impact or process/tooling/data challenges hindering the progress of data scaling and our data culture.

THE TOP 5 THINGS WE WANT YOU TO ACHIEVE IN YOUR FIRST YEAR ARE

      • Enable fast and confident decision-making across the business through timely focused analytics. Success will be measured in the time to insight and the proportionate impact of the data insights informing business decisions.
      • Implement the metrics that enable stakeholders to observe and influence their and the company's performance. Success will be measured through qualitative feedback on the suitability of the metrics we use in our reporting and analysis and the actions they have enabled.
      • Continuously surface analytical barriers and help us evolve to overcome them. Success will be measured by the absence of recurring themes for improvement in Company-wide retros, surveys, and user interviews.
      • Partnering for self-service. All the training, data literacy and support for behavior change needed to make self service learning possible. Success will be measured by being able to have at least one partnering success story where we were able to take someone from directly needing help to self-service via a data product.
      • Stretch in the direction of your development goals. Be curious, find your stretch! This could be building better dashboards, developing friendly data, deepening your commercial understanding or learning about data science techniques. It will be up to you to drive your own development and set what success looks like for this through your mastery goals with all the support you need along the way.

WHAT YOU MIGHT BRING TO THE TABLE:

      • Demonstrable experience of partnering with the business to be able to produce data, reporting or analytics products, ideally that have automated self-service reporting and learning to support recurring needs.
      • Comfortable with SQL (e.g. parsing JSON files, joins, calculations using CTEs etc) in a cloud-based environment (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift). You’ll need this to be able to analyze data until we have time to create our analytics friendly data models.
      • Great communicator with good understanding how to implement metrics of success for teams and explaining them to others in easy-to-understand terms.
      • A growth mindset, with a hunger for learning and a desire to keep improving your mastery of the craft.
      • An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to thrive in a high ambiguity, fast paced environment that gives you the ownership and freedom to succeed.

      HOW WE WILL INTERVIEW YOU:

We try to keep our interview process short and as a small business, we can move through the stages quickly. Due to availability, there may be a change to the order of the interview process, but generally speaking, this is what you can expect:

      1. Introductory call/interview with Sam, our Talent Partner. The call is usually via telephone and will last around 30 minutes.
      2. Should it feel like there is an initial fit for all, we will invite you to a video call with Paul, the hiring manager for around 45 minutes. This is a more structured interview and will deep dive into the role and technical needs.
      3. All of our roles will have a small assessment stage. This might be in person, a take-home assessment or further video calls. Length varies, however, we are mindful that you will have your own work to do and therefore try to keep it as simple as possible.
      4. Meet the founders and/or other team members. Again, length varies depending on how many people and whether in person or via video call.
      5. Offer!

      BENEFITS:

We divide this into the basics you should expect and the added benefits.

      The basics:

      • Salary range of $120,000 - $130,000 per year
      • 401k
      • Healthcare, Vision and Dental
      • All the equipment needed for you to do your role effectively
      • Flexible working

      • Personal Development budgets
      • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays

      The benefits:

      • Equity
      • Wellness budget to spend via a partner platform

      Coming soon:

Following a review with our existing team, we are currently redrafting our benefits package to cover the things you actually need/want.  Co-creation is at the heart of many of our People processes, and we can’t wait to unveil our new and improved benefits.

We look forward to receiving your application!

      About the company

At Scan.com, we think about medical imaging so that you don’t have to.

As the leading network of private medical imaging services across Europe and the USA, we’re always talking about scans. But most people don’t, until they really need one.

What happens then? If you’re in pain, or seeking peace of mind, you want answers as soon as possible. Unfortunately, conflicting information, long waiting lists and the fear of the unknown can feel overwhelming.

That’s why we built Scan.com. We’ve streamlined the process of finding private imaging, and created an easy-to-use scan booking platform. We also assembled a team of experienced clinicians to speed up referrals, and created a wealth of information to help you get from unknowns to answers.

We’re pioneering efficient and affordable access to private scans in three countries, and are used by clinicians and patients alike. By rebuilding the infrastructure of this complex industry, we’re providing better patient outcomes and saving lives along the way.

Do you want to join one of the fastest-growing molecular diagnostics startups and develop products that can affect the lives of millions?

BillionToOne, ranked at the top 5% of Y Combinator companies with $300M+ in funding from prominent VC firms, has developed a DNA molecular counter that increases cfDNA diagnostic resolution by over 1,000 fold. BillionToOne's first product, UNITY™ is the first and only non-invasive prenatal test that can directly screen an unborn baby and assess its risk for common and severe recessive gene disorders and chromosomal abnormalities, as well as fetal sex and fetal antigens, from a single tube of blood from the pregnant mother without paternal testing.

In 2023, BillionToOne launched two liquid biopsy products that will markedly improve oncology treatment and care. With Northstar Select™, clinicians will be able to select cancer therapies that will be most effective to each patient based on their individual genetic makeup. Northstar Response™ will enable clinicians to monitor a patient’s early response to these cancer therapies, by measuring minute changes in their ctDNA, which can reduce ineffective treatments and unwanted toxicity, lower costs, and substantially improve clinical outcomes.

BillionToOne is looking for an Associate Director / Principal Scientist / Sr. Scientist, Oncology Translational Medicine to lead the translational research and clinical evidence generation for Northstar liquid biopsy product line. We have many ongoing clinical studies using Northstar liquid biopsy assays that are showing groundbreaking early results. You will be responsible for driving the clinical data analysis, insights generation, and publications for those studies to prove the clinical validity and utility of the assays. This is a highly impactful role, as these insights will drive both clinical adoption and reimbursement of the Northstar product line.

This is an interdisciplinary and inter-functional role, where you would work closely with the clinical affairs team that is responsible for clinical trials execution, the medical affairs team, the R&D team, and external research collaborators, for the results analysis, insights generation, and publications. This is a remote position, but you may also work from our office in Menlo Park, CA if you’re locally-based (preferred).

      • Drive clinical study data analysis and insights generation: Drive analysis of the Northstar assay results combined with clinical outcomes data to derive insights
      • Turn analytical data into clinically actionable insights: Through clinical data analysis, develop appropriate approaches to turn assay values into clinically actionable results category (e.g., disease progression vs. responding to therapy)
      • Clinical evidence generation strategy development: Work closely with the clinical and medical affairs, market access, product, and commercial teams to identify the high-priority areas for clinical evidence generation. Support the clinical team with the clinical study design and data management
      • Scientific Writing and Publication: Drive the publication process through data analysis and manuscript writing

      • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team
      • Experience working with oncology medical data is strongly preferred

The energy industry is undergoing the largest transformation since industrialisation at an unprecedented rate of change and we are positioning ourselves to be at the heart of that change.

Our aim is to be the leading global provider of solutions that enable customers to release £30bn of value per annum from distributed energy resources (DERs). We are building a Software as a Service (SaaS) subscription business with a global addressable market of £2.4 billion per annum, by digitally connecting hundreds of thousands of DERs with energy markets.

We have already attained a market leading position and KrakenFlex is a recognised thought leader and innovator in the industry. Our efforts have not gone unnoticed and we are pleased to announce that we now have the full support and backing of Octopus Energy, an award-winning UK energy supplier who share our passion and values.

Having recently expanded into the USA with both our retail and software licensing businesses, this is an exciting opportunity to inform key product development decisions and help us rapidly expand in the US.

          What you'll do
          • Evaluate energy markets, ancillary service markets, and utility systems for the US, identifying participating criteria for utility-scale and residential DERs, and everything in between.
          • Support the business development team on evaluating the value of flexibility.
          • Represent Kraken and actively participate in relevant industry forums to accelerate the energy transition.
          • Utilize a variety of advanced data analysis and modeling techniques, as well as first hand market research, to help inform strategic business decisions
          • Work with the product teams to identify and undertake areas of analysis needed to deliver upcoming items on the roadmap.
          • Develop and present persuasive presentations for clients, regulators and other industry stakeholders

          What you'll need
          • 5 years experience working in a similar role relevant to the US energy markets, including roles at RTO/ISO, scheduling coordinator, or DER/DSM programs.

          • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
          • Strong organizational and project management skills
          • An ability to pick up work in a fast paced environment and a willingness to learn.
          • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex quantitative data and information.
          • Working knowledge of wholesale energy markets in the US, as well as energy storage and renewable energy technologies
          • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local laws, regulations and ordinances governing energy markets, especially as related to DER/DSM
          • Experience and knowledge of energy storage systems and renewables

Why else you'll love it here
          • Wondering what the salary for this role is? Just ask us! On a call with one of our recruiters it's something we always cover as we genuinely want to match your experience with the correct salary. The reason why we don't advertise is because we honestly have a degree of flexibility and would never want salary to be a reason why someone doesn't apply to Octopus - what's more important to us is finding the right octofit!
          • Octopus Energy is a unique culture. An organisation where people learn, decide, and build quicker. Where people work with autonomy, alongside a wide range of amazing co-owners, on projects that break new ground. We want your hard work to be rewarded with perks you actually care about! We won best company to work for in 2022, on Glassdoor we were voted 50 best places to work in 2022 and our Group CEO, Greg has recorded a podcast about our culture and how we empower our people
If this sounds like you then we'd love to hear from you.

Studies have shown that some groups of people, like women, are less likely to apply to a role unless they meet 100% of the job requirements. Whoever you are, if you like one of our jobs, we encourage you to apply as you might just be the candidate we hire. Across Octopus, we're looking for genuinely decent people who are honest and empathetic. Our people are our strongest asset and the unique skills and perspectives people bring to the team are the driving force of our success.
