[Hiring] Senior DevOps Engineer @Valcre

Valcre is the premier valuation software for the commercial real estate industry. It is trusted by more than 300 leading organizations as the gold standard for appraisers. Valcre’s web, mobile app, and valuation models provide an end-to-end solution for appraisal workflow, including job and client management, property research, inspections, analysis, and report writing.

Valcre is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to own our cloud infrastructure including production, testing, build, and deployment systems and tooling. Currently we use Azure for our applications in multiple geos/regions.  As we continue to scale out our platform we need to continue building resilient systems that are not only performant, but also straightforward to extend, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot.

Successful candidates will be those who are team players, love rapid growth, and have demonstrated a verifiable track record of success in fast-paced and fluid environments.

• 5+ years of experience as DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure engineer (or similar)

• 3+ years of experience in CI/CD supporting full app stack

• Proven hands-on experience working with cloud computing in Azure

• Experience with IaC, scripting, and cloud automation 

• Experience with compliance (ISO, SOX2, GDPR)

• Experience with databases (MSSQL)

• Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing .Net applications

• Fantastic interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

• Relevant startup or high-growth experience

Round 2 - Meet the CTO + Technical Deep Dive - delve into your experience and technical know-how

• [45-60m] - Conversation with CTO. Code Sample review and work session: we will review some code you’ve written, and ask you to make some quick changes to get an idea of your skills and strengths

• [30m] - Deep dive w/ VP of Engineering: dive deeper into success for this role means in the next 6/12/24 months

Final Stage - Meet our CEO

• [15-20m] - Conversation with CEO: get to know our CEO and co-founder, his vision for the company as a whole, and what’s so exciting about our work
