DevOps Engineer

W1TTY is a fast-growing UK fintech start-up setting the new standards for digital finance. We’re building a new digital finance platform and a fully mobile-based finance app, offering multicurrency accounts, domestic and international transfers, debit cards, and instant payments. Amongst our platform are components such as core banking, mobile banking, cards systems, and many more.

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer, preferably with prior banking/fintech experience to join our team in Poland.

 

Responsibilities:

• Build high quality Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment solutions

• Manages builds/releases for Enterprise SaaS solution in a dynamic environment

• Support and enhance build and deployment tools through automation using a combination of scripting and processes

• Automate deployment and monitoring of applications

• Collaborate with development teams to optimize performance, right size and migrate various development, QA, and production environments to cloud

• Collaborate with a range of stakeholders and colleagues throughout the project development lifecycle

Skills and Experience:

• Relevant 6-8 years of experience as a DevOps with at least 3 years of experience with AWS

• Worked on various AWS services like EC2, S3, Aurora RDS, API gateways, Route53, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudTrail etc.

• Experienced in hosting multi-tier/microservice applications on AWS based on customer needs,

• Knowledge of the service-mesh pattern and toolkit (Traefik, Istio, Cilium, Consul),

• Experienced in debugging Java applications, network issues and vulnerabilities,

• Knowledge of handling serverless application in AWS cloud environment,

• Handling production load and issues related to deployments in production

• Experience in setting-up configuration management using tools like terraform, terragrunt, Ansible or similar tools.

• Automate Build/deployments (CI&CD) & other repetitive tasks using shell/Python scripts or tools like Gitlab, GitHub Actions, CodeDeploy, CircleCI etc.

• Knowledge of managing containerized applications(microservices) using Kubernetes, Docker, etc.

• Know how to troubleshoot, identify performance bottlenecks and optimize the performance of the services.
