👀 Sounds great right? What will you be doing?

 

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join our DevOps and Platform Team. We run a NodeJS microservice platform on Kubernetes with PostgreSQL as our main database. We have already invested heavily in CI/CD, GitOps platform automation. However we have a growing number of developers and are keen to ensure that our internal platform enables development teams to safely and securely deploy and manage their services.

 

As a Platform Engineer, you will be working with the wider DevOps and Platform team to improve developer experience by further developing and improving our internal development platform.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Work on our overall developer platform to improve the developer experience
• Help diagnose and improve performance issues
• Work on best practices, tooling and service templates for internal teams
• Work on platform observability, including logging and monitoring
• Collaborate with other team members to identify and address platform issues
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of platform documentation
• Collaborate with the wider DevOps and SRE team to help with overall operation of the platform

Requirements

• Experience as a JavaScript developer
• Good experience with Node.JS and Docker
• Experience with AWS is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including very strong documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

Nice to have:

 

• Experience with developer productivity & health metrics and dashboarding, using frameworks such as DORA and SPACE
