As a cloud Infrastructure and Platform Engineer, Tech Lead,  you will be responsible for running, managing, maintaining, upgrading and monitoring the Traackr’s infrastructure and the different services making up its platform. You will be part of the Platform, Architecture and Infrastructure team alongside the CTO, Traackr’s platform architect and the infrastructure engineers on the team. 

You will work with your team members to set semi-annual goals for the team, establish a roadmap for the team and contribute to the overall evolution and improvement of the Traackr’s Infrastructure and Platform. Your responsibilities will also include support for the Engineering team.

Core Responsibilities

As a Technical leader of a team of 2 to 3 infrastructure engineers, you’ll be responsible for:

• Having a holistic picture and solid technical understanding of the Traackr cloud architecture
• Ensuring the best solutions are chosen to support the platform needs, factoring in both scalability, maintainability and costs of the implemented solutions
• Defining infrastructure standards and best practices
• Overseeing technical decisions made by the team
• Identifying gaps in existing technical solutions that impede the team’s ability to execute
• Providing technical guidance to the team (code reviews, architecture advice, technical feedback)
• Coordinating and collaborating with Technical Leads of product-delivery teams to ensure the infrastructure serves their current and upcoming needs
• Defining and managing your team’s technical roadmap and be comfortable working with work estimation tools to measure your team’s velocity

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of the AWS cloud platform and its services (EC2, VPC, Route53, S3, RDS, IAM)
• 7+ years of extensive hands-on experience with DevOps tooling (Bit, Terraform, Ansible, Artifactory, Vault, Jira, Jenkins, Telegraf, InfluxDB, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki)
• Expertise in cloud networking (VPC, VPN, NAT, Routers, Load balancers)
• Experience in operating systems (preferably Ubuntu)
• Experience running, managing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters (preferably AWS EKS)
• Experience running and managing “cloud native” services: Kafka, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, RabbitMQ
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins & Argo)
• 5+ years experience in programming and scripting languages (Go, Python, Java, Ruby, shells ...)
• Coding and scripting skills for automation
