EVOTEK is expanding our team to include a Cloud Economist, an expert that specializes in cloud spending and cloud cost optimizations. The Cloud Economist will use experience in leveraging cloud features and benefits to support application performance. Leveraging knowledge of licensing and buying programs, the Cloud Economist will work closely with customers to assess their environments and architect cost-optimized Cloud solutions that best meet their business and application needs. This role will also interface with the EVOTEK Platform and Data Center Architects to align on the cost optimized customer recommendations for migration and consumption planning.

Requirements

• Define and evolve Cloud service offerings based on customer needs.
• Work directly with customers to develop Cloud Customer Consumption plans and commitment recommendations.
• Work with Customers to understand their applications and business needs to develop Cloud Cost optimization plans.
• Ensure that post migration FinOps support delivers on the upfront cost optimization plan commitments and work with customers through the assessment, migration, management, and optimization lifecycle.
• Support EVOTEK Sales and Services teams in pipeline generation and deal closure as needed.

Qualifications include:

• Demonstrated ability to listen, gather data and provide customers with clear actionable recommendations in support of their cloud cost optimization goals.
• Demonstrated financial modeling capabilities leveraging knowledge and experience of AWS, Azure and or GCP buying programs and licensing models (examples: ROI analysis, TCO Analysis, Cloud Costing, Financial Solutions for IT, Technology Business Management, Financial Analyst roles).
• Strong understanding of the public cloud providers, their products, costing mechanisms and applicable use cases, best practices and implementation, and support considerations across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, cloud computing and their sales drivers.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and bridge discussions between technical IT Leaders and the Finance leadership of customer organizations.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, cloud computing and their sales drivers.
• 12+ years of Customer facing experience in Sales, business development and IT management or consulting experience.
