Sr. Product Designer

The Role

CodeSignal is seeking a Product Designer to own product design and user experience. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop an innovative and creative vision for CodeSignal's industry-leading suite of technical interview and assessment products. You will use your deep understanding of user interaction and experience shipping successful products to drive design decisions and create scalable, consistent design parameters for a growing organization.

We'd love to see you apply if you are interested in conducting client research, allowing user interaction insights to drive design, and designing for Engineering users. This role is ideal for experienced product designers eager to shape an evolving product!

Main responsibilities

• Build and execute an innovative, creative vision for CodeSignal’s product design and user experience that mitigate complexity elegently.
• Work closely with CodeSignal executives, Product team members, and Engineering partners to shape product strategy and deliver industry-leading solutions.
• Manage ongoing design iteration through continuous research, prototyping, user testing, interaction mapping, pattern definition, and new component delivery.
• Create scalable, consistent design parameters that are well-documented and enforceable in a growing organization.

Qualifications 

• 7+ years product design experience
• A portfolio of successfully shipped products demonstrating user-focused design practices.
• Deep understanding of interaction patterns and how best to apply them to a variety of workflows and information hierarchies.
• Strong visual design sensibility with a practical focus on compatibility across platforms.
• Experience leading product design from user research and brainstorming through decision-making and execution.
• Prototyping skills at all levels of fidelity; strong experience-based judgment for when prototypes should be deployed.
• Ability to document and communicate design decisions and user flows for multiple cross-functional partner teams, technical and non-technical.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience using browser-based product design software, such as Figma, to create high-fidelity prototypes.
