Product Designer

Location: Remote - Any US location 

Summary

Steady is looking for a talented Product Designer to join our team who is passionate about building game-changing consumer-centric products. As a designer at Steady, you'll ship features that generate measurable impact while helping us fine-tune our visual brand. You'll be part of a close-knit product team that plays a vital role in shaping the future of Steady.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product design, from solving the core user challenge to shipping a well-tested and pixel-perfect UI for SteadyIQ Income Passport.
• Partner with engineers and product managers to design simple, elegant, and delightful user experiences that meet user and business goals.
• Translate business needs and capabilities into an effective information architecture.
• Define the categorization, organization, and navigational conventions used throughout the product experience.
• Wireframe flows that include detailed functional annotations, states, and system responses.
• Conduct user interviews, competitive analyses, content audits, and user research as needed.
• Work with qualitative and quantitative data to inform and validate design decisions.

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum of 4+ years of design experience in a product designer role, with a heavy emphasis on responsive web apps.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end user flows and experiences.
• A strong sense of pixel-perfect attention to detail that is supported by quality UX considerations.
• Has experience leading and facilitating design sprints and workshops.
• Strong wireframing/prototyping skills.
• Strong knowledge of design tools and workflows (we are in Figma & Overflow).

Nice-to-haves

• Has previous experience working with startups in the financial technology space or with consumer-facing public sector products.
• Has prior experience designing accessible web applications per WCAG guidelines.
• Has experience designing within design system restraints.
• Understand engineering limitations that affect design (HTML, CSS, JS).

Total Compensation Package

• The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000.
• This position is eligible for equity.

Through automation and a proprietary process, Income Passport compiles users' income and payroll data into a single digital document that can be easily sent or shared as needed.
