Sensate is a wellness technology company focused on helping our stressed population grow personal resilience to stress.

Based on decades of experience working with stress and trauma-related conditions, we’re bringing a vagus nerve toning system to the mass market that will empower consumers to improve a wide range of conditions including anxiety, insomnia and migraines.

The company’s first Sensate product is a hardware + app solution. A physical “pebble” that uses vibroacoustic therapy to tone the vagus nerve. Controlled via a smartphone app, the Sensate experience synchronizes audio soundscapes with the infrasonic resonance via the pebble device.

These uncharted times of mental health challenges demand a solution that works and we are absolutely mission driven to get our incredible Sensate relaxation methodology to as many people as possible. With over 30,000 customers already and exponentially growing monthly users, we are well on our way.

We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on Principal Designer to lead our design team and bring our vision to life. As the Principal Designer, you will have the opportunity to lead the design of our cutting-edge mobile and web applications and website, from concept to launch. You will work closely with our cross-functional team to create engaging user experiences that have a real impact on people's lives and see your designs in the hands of tens of thousands.

This is a fully remote, full-time, salaried position with opportunities for growth in a fast-paced and exciting startup environment. (Starting salary $80k, depending on experience.)

• Lead the design team and oversee all design projects related to mobile and web applications, websites, marketing material, email, and ads

• Create and manage design project timelines and budgets

• Develop and maintain design guidelines and standards

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing

• Present design concepts and ideas to stakeholders and senior leadership

• Stay current with industry trends and technologies to bring new and innovative design solutions to the company

• Hands-on design work, with a focus on creating engaging user experiences and interfaces that help alleviate stress and anxiety for our users

• Strong portfolio showcasing your hands-on design experience with mobile and web applications, websites, ads, and user-centered design

• Experience with design software such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma

• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies

• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
