Digital Brand & Communication Designer

Intro:

Join our team and work directly with the founders to build web3’s decentralized backend. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining a creative vision that speaks to Gelato’s target audience to ensure that branding and visual storytelling is cohesive across marketing and communications channels.

We are seeking a self-driven Lead Brand & Communication Designer / Art-Director with a strong background and knowledge in digital products to elevate the Gelato brand and community communications to a new level in the web3 space.

What you’ll accomplish:

You have the opportunity to create a brand and establish a visual language for an already successful and respected product in the Web3 community. Here are the tasks you will need to solve at Gelato:

• Refresh the company's brand identity
• Create a visual brand language
• Develop a concept on how to brand Gelato's products
• Create a system and style for digital communication, structuring and differentiating different channels and types of events, announcements, and messages: twitter, discord, youtube, linkedin, and more
• Create concepts for merch (knowledge of production technologies)
• Maintain and develop the brand

Requirements

Experience

• Extensive experience in creating brand identities
• A visual language of the brand that can be developed
• Experience both in agencies and product teams
• Developing visual concepts for digital communications
• Creating brands both independently and as an art director in a team
• Assigning tasks to designers, freelancers, process art direction
• Creating umbrella brands, where there is a main company brand and its products in one visual concept

Skills

For our small team, it is important that the art director is multidisciplinary and can handle many tasks independently, but also manage a small team of designers/freelancers when required.

• Strong graphic design skills
• Strong typography skills
• 3D (intermediate level + art direction)
• Animation and motion design (basic level, art direction)
• Lettering, logo design (basic level, art direction)
• Illustrations (any style, basic level, art direction)
• Copywriting, ideation, irony
• Ability to experiment with new techniques and tools
