Currently, we are searching for a Data Acquisition Specialist. You will be reporting to our Head of Data and hold responsibility over maintaining an environment that is as flat and approachable as possible while ensuring an MVP approach to product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Constantly search for new and relevant datasets related to corporate data, sanctions lists, custom data, trade data, and other sources that uncover business insights about trade companies. E.g. look for open or paid data sources that contain information about the supply chain, categories and volumes of goods shipped, custom declarations, bill of lading, and everything that can be used to identify the supply chains of existing or potential customers and provide us insides into their export/import profiles. Examples of the data sources Panjiva, TradeAtlas, ManifestDB
• Evaluate the quality, relevance, and reliability of the datasets found
• Establish and maintain relationships with data owners and providers
• Analyse the importance and potential impact of datasets on the company's objectives
• Write clear and concise technical tasks for data engineers to integrate new datasets into the company's data pipelines and analytics processes
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging data sources

Requirements

• Previous experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with data providers
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with databases
• Knowledge of various data sources, including corporate data, sanctions lists, custom data, and trade data
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• English - upper intermediate
