The PRO Customer Success team based in Italy is looking for an experienced and passionate Solutions Architect to manage technical pre-sales and training to B2B customers in the industrial IoT and other key market verticals. Ideal candidates will possess an engineering background along with a proven track record of assisting Sales with closing new opportunities and developing reference designs. You will be considered the subject matter expert and participate in the key technical stages of the sales process. Your input will result in prospective customers understanding how our products and services are going to meet their unique needs. You will also support Marketing during product demos, webinars, trade shows and other public events.

What you'll work on

• Collaborate with the customer to gather and define business requirements, business definitions including technical and solution footprint.
• Deliver proposed solutions to drive maximum value for customers on both the application and technical front.
• Coordinate with the leads during the research and design phases of a project.
• Coordinate with other team members and partners for cross-functional solutions.
• Produce clear and accurate solution presentations and data requirements for the technical team.
• Ability to understand the business requirements and draw parallels to our features.
• Ability to keep continuous communication with the customer during various project phases.
• Ability to concisely articulate product features and benefits through marketing mediums such as video, webinars, social media, blog posts, and event talks. 
• Provide constructive recommendations to various Product Managers acting as a proxy for customer feedback.

What you bring

• 5-8 years of proven work experience as a Solution Architect or other customer-facing technical roles (professional services, sales engineer, technical consultant, etc.)
• Charismatic personality (an existing positive industry reputation is a major plus).
• Knowledge of key technical aspects of IoT (EE, hardware, firmware, gateways, connectivity, cloud, data management)
• Knowledge of Arduino's PRO products and Arduino programming
• Knowledge of PLC languages (IEC 61131-3)
• Knowledge of HMI solutions and user interface development 
• Knowledge of industrial / building automation fieldbus technologies
• Knowledge of system hardware design (cabling, grounding, I/Os, …)
• Working knowledge of the industrial / building automation environment
• Good english language (written and spoken), italian or german as a plus
• Availability to travel (daily or for few days)

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of cloud offerings and architectures from AWS or Azure.
• IoT Protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, TCP, UDP, & AMQP)
• Firmware/Software (Python, MicroPython, AT Commands, Docker, JTAG or other debugging tools, Linux)
• Working experience with sales tools and CRM software.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Self-directed with enthusiasm for problem-solving.
• Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
