Business Analyst

At Koneksa, we are focused on using new technologies to improve clinical research and drug development. We help leading life sciences companies and research hospitals remotely capture real-world data from patients. Our projects deploy digital health technologies such as FDA approved activity trackers, wearable vital sign monitors, and other emerging monitoring devices that collect data outside the clinical and laboratory setting. We are developing digital biomarkers that help our customers make faster decisions, often using smaller studies, with technologies that enhance the experience of the patients who participate.

The Business Analyst role is a critical role in Koneksa’s growing Product Strategy function. You will be responsible for supporting the strategy across Koneksa’s core areas of focus - Respiratory, Neurology, Oncology, and Rare Disease.  You will help inform and guide decisions related to Koneksa’s solutions, ensuring that our offering addresses the needs of our customers while targeting significant market opportunities.  The successful candidate will partner with Koneksa Solution owners to continue to refine and enhance our product offerings with data driven decision making.  

The Business Analyst role is an individual contributor role and will report into the EVP Product Strategy.  This is a remote role with periodic travel required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, evaluate and quantify market opportunities in the target disease states for digital biomarkers
• Maintain intimate understanding of development progress in targeted disease stated by creating and maintaining a database of drug development programs
• Partner with solution owners to convert market research into strategy recommendations for Koneksa’s area of focus
• Research clinical study technology trends and apply to relevant business opportunities at Koneksa
• Support business intelligence research for competitive solutions
• Contribute to the development of business cases and management reports to support ongoing Portfolio evaluation
• Liaise with Commercial, Product, Medical and Data Science teams to support research needs and decision making

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in biological sciences
• 4+ years in consulting or equivalent business experience 
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with drug development and clinical trial processes
• Familiarity with medical scientific journals and other forms of publications
• Mastery of office spreadsheet and presentation suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language
