Human Factors Engineer

THE POSITION:

MTI is looking to for a Human Factors Engineer to play a critical role in supporting a new U.S. Army helicopter design on the team of a major aerospace manufacturer. We are dedicated to enhancing the usability, mission-effectiveness, and maintainability of the system to provide unmatched capabilities.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You will be part of a high-performing human factors team working with other engineers and designers across the project from multiple teammate companies and the government customer
• Provide human factors design, development, analysis, and evaluation for all aspects of the system across the lifecycle, which may include mission systems architecture, cockpit geometry design, pilot-vehicle interfaces, sensors and armaments, maintenance, etc.
• Conduct analyses such as task analyses, error analyses, workload evaluations, heuristic evaluations, human performance modeling, etc.
• Ensure compliance with human factors standards and best practices while supporting the development of a usable and mission-effective system
• Interface with prime contractor, other teammates, and the government customer in technical meetings to provide human factors expertise and analysis
• Create and maintain artifacts such as compliance reports, human engineering design approach documents, human engineering test reports, user evaluation event reports, etc.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• Must be a U.S citizen able to obtain a Secret security clearance
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in a relevant discipline
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience in Human Factors Engineering
• Experience with a range of human factors analyses and tools
• Understanding of the entire system engineering lifecycle, and especially human system integration considerations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
